IRA
The Irish Republican Army (IRA), was created in 1916, in Ireland obviously. The IRA was started by Michael Collins with remnants of rebel units dispersed after the Easter Rebellion in 1916. The group became the lead on the fight to end Ireland's dominion status with Great Britain. During the fight for independence, the IRA orchestrated bombings, raids, and street fights. After WWII, the IRA was outlawed by northern and southern Ireland. The IRA then became a secret organization. The IRA wanted to unify Ireland under Irish rule, not British. The group committed terrorist acts to protest the treatment of Unionists and Protestants by the Catholics in Northern Ireland. The IRA is going after bankers, who send money to Britain .
My 9/11
The only thing i can remember from 9/11 is teachers from Goodridge Elementary school showing the news, and then all them rushing us home and calling our parents. Soon enouugh my mom showed up to school to get me all frantic and scared and we went back to the house and just layed in her room and watched the news. Later that day my grandparents came over and hung out with us. Thats really all i can remember from this day i just remember being little and everybody making a huge deal out of it and scared. But looking back, i understand now it changed the world in many ways and has had a big impact on the United States.
